Can i delete my downloads file

Close the file and try again. I have run Task Manager and verified there are no other instances of Windows Explorer running concurently, or any other processes running that might be locking the file.

This is my current workaround,. This hasn't happened with any other video or audio files I have downloaded, but I have only had this computer for about 2 weeks. Also it doesn't happen with all MKV files; only 4 have had this problem to date out of that I have downloaded.

The problem occurs with files that have never been "opened" or accessed since being downloaded, as well as files that have been accessed. I googled the problem and it is discussed on a couple troubleshooting forums elsewhere, but so far there has been no solution other than the Command Prompt workaround.
